Neuroethics could be understood in two different ways: between 1973 and 2002, it was understood as an ethics of neuroscience and, since 2002, it has been understood also as a neuroscience of ethics. In its first sense, neuroethics would be just a bioethics branch without novelty. In its second sense, there´s someone that consider neuroethics as new discipline, a new way to found ethics from neurobiology and not from philosophical knowledge. With only a decade of development, they already exist two points on which virtually all authors agree. This paper address with these two proposals, that are required to build or to criticize neuroethics as a neuroscience of ethics.
