Abstract

In this article, I would like to examine various representative passages by Augustine of Hippo about the relationship between will and emotions, to define the limits of responsibility of human action under the influence of the most intense passion, according to the author. Simultaneously, I will endeavor to determine the impact of stoic philosophy on in Augustine’s approach to the subject.
