Abstract

QUEZADA MACCHIAVELLO, Óscar  and  BLANCO, Desiderio. Modalities of Semiotic Immanence. Tóp. Sem [online]. 2014, n.31, pp.117-138. ISSN 2594-0619.

This study, controversial in nature, dismisses the opposition between immanence and manifestation, once again considering perception as a purely semiotic domain and placing emphasis on semiosis as a corporeal means. The body proper thus appears, intertwined with language, as the plane of immanence of semiosis. This lays the theoretical groundwork for proposing four modalities of semiotic immanence, and for establishing their coherence and consistency in the analysis of a specific text, in addition to defining the theses regarding enunciative practice and the phenomenological expansion of semiosis as physical immediacy. We conclude by interpreting several aphorisms that convert the flesh-body-language texture into the plane of semiotic immanence in which everything makes sense.

Keywords : semiosis; language; body proper; corporeal means; physical immediacy; body of semiosis; modalities of immanence.
