Abstract
ROLDAN VERA, Eugenia. Los orígenes de la radio educativa en México y Alemania: 1924-1935. RMIE [online]. 2009, vol.14, n.40, pp.13-41. ISSN 1405-6666.
This article, conceived as an exercise in the comparative history of education, analyzes the introduction and early development of educational radio in post-revolutionary Mexico and in the Germany of the Weimar Republic. The insertion of educational radio in the countries' programs of educational reform is compared, and the origin and functioning of the main educational radio station in each country are studied (Deutsche Welle and CZE-XFX of Mexico's Secretary of Public Education), along with a consideration of their interaction. The article contrasts the concepts of listeners and the learning process underlying Germany's and Mexico's appropriation of the global phenomenon of educational radio. The comparison attempts to reveal not only the similarities but also the specifics of each context.
