Abstract

GONZALEZ, Fernando M.. El acontecimiento y la parte caníbal de la historia. Cultura representaciones soc [online]. 2015, vol.9, n.18, pp.80-123. ISSN 2007-8110.

The purpose of this text is to explore the relationship between continuities and discontinuities in History, comparing Michel de Certeau's and Michel Foucault's approaches, and countering these with the notion of "equivocal continuity", as this arises from De Certeau's reading of Freud's Moses. The text is rounded off by the case of the psychoanalyst Igor A. Caruso, and his acts during the Nazi period in Vienna, trying to give an account of the effects on the psychoanalytic field in Mexico of this information that was invisible until October, 2012. Simplified or equivocal continuity?

Keywords : psychoanalysis; Michel de Certeau; Michel Foucault; continuities / discontinuities; equivocal continuity; cannibal history.
