Abstract

MENDIOLA, Alfonso. "Amplificatio" in the epidictical genre of the XVIth century. Hist. graf [online]. 2014, n.43, pp.103-125. ISSN 1405-0927.

This essay will present the contributions that the Spanish rhetoric of the Sixteenth Century made to the analysis of narrative discourse. The manuals of rhetoric studied correspond to the period that ranges from the end of the Fifteenth Century to the Mid-sixteenth Century. The central objective is to highlight the differences, in the modes of storytelling, between the rhetorical Spaniards of the Sixteenth Century and those of Antiquity.
