The journal Educación Química is published quarterly by the Department of Chemistry of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). The journal aims to fill the gap of communication and expression between teachers and researchers of Natural Sciences and Chemistry Education, constituting a forum for guidance and analysis that promotes improving the teaching-learning process of Chemistry for the benefit of students and society. Through good teaching of Chemistry, the journal aims to contribute to the social, economic, environmental and cultural development of the Iberoamerican region. Its creation was promoted by the Department of Chemistry of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Chemical Society of Mexico and the Mexican Institute of Chemical Engineers. Currently has an International Editorial Committee, with participants from twelve countries. The articles must be original to be published. Articles received are sent at least two referees suggested by the editorial board members to decide on their acceptance or rejection. It is intended that the referees be from different countries and institutions.
