Mission

With emphasis on Mexico and its realities, Relaciones, Estudios de Historia y Sociedad publishes original contributions to the documentation, historical or ethnographic narrative and analysis of the Latin American experience, organization, institutions, news and backgrounds. Within this substantive and general orientation, the keyword "relationships", combines two referents: (1) theoretical-methodological: the study of the links and nodes (connections and networks) that provide a concrete and specific reality to the complex processes of history and society; and (2) the Hispanic American political and cultural traditions: a descriptive and narrative genre, "relations" for the description of the West Indies, which emerged in the conformation of the Spanish Empire. Quarterly publication.
