On-line version ISSN 2007-7890

Abstract

SERRANO ANTUNEZ, Alejandra  and  MARTINEZ RIZO, Felipe. Ethical implications of video recording in research on teaching practice. Dilemas contemp. educ. política valores [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.3, 00005.  Epub June 11, 2021. ISSN 2007-7890.  https://doi.org/10.46377/dilemas.v8i3.2620.

The article seeks to address some of the ethical implications that arise when studying teaching practice through the use of video recordings, mainly when the image of underage students is involved. Obtaining information in the educational field through deferred observation is not a new practice, however, by its nature, it involves ethical dilemmas that are not always considered in the design of research. Therefore, it becomes important to consider, in addition to anonymity and confidentiality, practices of protection, storage, transport and destruction of materials or evidence.

Keywords : teaching practice; video recording; ethics.
