This text is an approach to the citizen participation processes of young people who use new information and communication technologies, as well as an array of knowledge, skills and competences that enable the construction of networks that empowered their role as agents in the social field. A point of interest is the relation between individuals and the Nation-State, exploring the role of the national project on the identity of the inhabitants of a territory, and if indeed the Nation-State remains a reference on the construction of the citizenship. This topic is relevant, in a time when globalization seems to show the inability of the State to give shape to the aspirations of individuals but also brings new possibilities for connectivity and the construction of networks between agencies and individuals allowing them to have a more active involvement in the public agenda.
