Some theoretical and critical discourses on literature from the bakhtinian point of view are set in dialogical relation -therefore, a polemical relation- since literature is considered as a symbolic and ideological production of culture. Since the notion of polyphony includes the discursive functioning of otherness, it allows to confirm those that would belong to "Latin American differences". The analysis will be made in the frame of the critic field of Latin American alternative literatures along the lines elaborated by Antonio Cornejo Polar.
