Resumen

MARTINEZ GONZALEZ, B. Gloria. Some evidence of super-exploitation in underdeveloped countries. The current importance of Marini's thinking. Inv. Econ [online]. 1999, vol.59, n.230, pp.149-168. ISSN 0185-1667.

Marx thought that the rate of uneamed increment in the more developed capitalist countries was greater than that in less developed capitalist countries, due to the fact that production in the former was greater than in the latter. Marini later suggested the contrary: that in less developed countries, the incidence of exploitation was greater than in more developed countries, because of the difficulties less developed countries have in increasing productivity. This paper presents results which demonstrate that Marini was correct but that Marx was partially right also: countries in the under-developed bloc are in fact more exploited than the more developed countries, but, within each bloc, greater productivity gives a greater rate of uneamed increment, which is what Marx stated.
