This article presents the latest advances made in doctoral research within the theoretical framework of anthropological linguistics and part of the ethnographic fieldwork in an Argentine indigenous community located between the cities of Machagai and Quitilipi (Chaco). The aim of this paper is to contribute to the reflection on the sociolinguistic situation of this community. To this end, we focus on the attitudes and linguistic ideologies that the indigenous people have about the Qom and Spanish languages and finally present the conclusions outlined so far.
