Abstract

ARAUJO GONZALEZ, Rafael de Jesús. River, Myth, and Poetics in Chiapas. Fuentes humanist. [online]. 2025, vol.37, n.70, pp.101-106.  Epub Nov 07, 2025. ISSN 2007-5618.  https://doi.org/10.24275/fdyh8899.

This article explores the river as a motif in creative writing. It focuses on the poetic use of water’s flow, examining: first, its role in the Chiapas poetic tradition, and second, its function as a discursive image representing concepts beyond the river itself. In both instances, however, mythological significance remains integral to everyday life.

Keywords : river; literature; poetry; Chiapas; discursive image.
