The objective of this work is to contrast the different forms of election of the auxiliary authorities in Mexico, comparing the municipal regulations, indicating the body in charge of organizing these elections and the requirements for participation. The elections vary depending on the Municipal Organic Law of each federative entity, however, in the cases that are elected by popular vote, the electoral representation is extended to a fourth order of government.
