This work returns to the question that Horkheimer made when he analyzed how Mann-heim uses the concept of ideology. That is the start point to study if we are not facing today an-other “new” use of it, one marked by the postmodernist cultural logic. With this intention, two dissimilar theories are approached, both of whom make “ideology” one of their key notions: on the one hand, Laclau’s proposal, on the other, that of Boltanski. Analyzing the use that each one gives it -in the first two sections- will allow -in the third- to point out the convergence between the two, the “post” features shared.
