La relación intertextual que Nocturno de Chile establece con Là-bas, del francés J.-K. Huysmans, va más allá de la simple homonimia. El presente artículo analiza tres aspectos que desde ella se desprenden: el cuestionamiento al naturalismo en tanto sensibilidad artística canónica a fin del siglo XIX; la feroz crítica que se realiza al campo cultural literario, y la reflexión sobre los límites del Bien y del Mal.

Intertextual relationship established between Nocturno de Chile and Là-bas, by J.-K. Huysmans, goes beyond the mere homonymy. This article discusses three issues that emerge from it: the challenge to the Naturalism as an artistic canonic sensibility, during the late nineteenth century; the fierce criticism to the literary guild, and a reflection on the limits of Good and Evilness.
