Este láser emite más de 7 W de radiación continua a 1064 nm en modo casi TEM00 (M²=1.7), con una eficiencia de conversión de potencia de bombeo a potencia de salida de 51%. Presentamos también una técnica sencilla, basada en la conmutación en Q de la cavidad (Q-switching), para convertir este láser continuo en uno pulsado. Con esta implementación sencilla de Q-switching logramos obtener pulsos del orden de 25 ns de duración a una tasa de repetición de más de 7 KHz.]]></p></abstract>

We also present a simple technique to convert this cw laser into a Q-switched laser; using this technique we obtained 25 ns pulses at a repetition rate of over 7 KHz.]]></p></abstract>
