The publication is a refereed digital journal, edited twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Education Studies of the University Centre for the Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guadalajara (Departamento de Estudios en Educación del Centro Universitario de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades de la Universidad de Guadalajara). Its purpose is to publish original research papers in the fields of Education and Social Sciences that provide relevant knowledge to scholars and interested in these topics. The journal adheres to the Open Access movement allowing obtaining its documents free of charge to freely print, store or distribute under the condition to credit the original source.
