For volume eight number one, corresponding to April of 2018, of Psychological Research Records, the editorial Board conducted the same double blind process for evaluation and acceptance of a series of articles, which clearly are linked to aspects concerning human development, as it is evident in the articles on the representation of emotions in 30 months old children: relationship with temperament and sex of the child and the ability of representation in the parents; in the development of a scale of inductive standards of water use in preschool children; in the evaluation of the effect of emotional availability patterns and mental health of pre-school problems; in the description of the process of ethnic preferences in Bolivian children who have faced exclusion; and in the validation of the brief questionnaire of school victimization by peers. A second series of articles focuses on close interpersonal relations. In this category we have a couple of papers that deal with jealousy and infidelity in heterosexual and homosexual couples; and a study on the causes of apathy in married and common-law union couples. In addition, this issue includes an article in the area of health and communication focused on the use of Twitter for messages with reference to HIV and risk behaviors. Finally, comparative study describes intra-species differences in response to stress. As in all the issues of Psychological Research Records, we extend our appreciation to the careful work of the reviewers of the editorial board and the contribution of original and high-quality research from our colleagues in the scientific community.
