This submission was organized according to the academic methodology for review articles and it has a threefold purpose, to communicate the results of research, update and inform about the educational works of philosophers José Agustín y Caballero, Félix Varela and José de la Luz y Caballero in the Cuban colonial period. The study proposes: debates, ideas and research focusing on the contributions of these philosophers to Cuban education. Philosophical thought in the colonial period was characterized by its opposition to scholasticism as a method of knowledge. José Agustín Caballero, Félix Varela and José de la Luz y Caballero stood out for their contributions to teaching through the logical analysis of phenomena, looking for their causes in natural and social processes, and because they separated different subjects for their individual study. These authors included the contributions of the Scientific Revolution in study programs, they highlighted the importance of logic and their links to economic and social processes. The ideas that we expose here from the bibliographic review are based on the educational revolution that these authors caused with their opposition to the scholastic method of knowledge.
