Abstract

ROCHA-BREMONT, Juan P.; RUIBAL-TAVARES, Enrique  and  CALLEJA-LOPEZ, Jesús R. T.. Aneurysmal bone cyst of the proximal tibia: a case report. Gac. mex. oncol. [online]. 2023, vol.22, suppl.1, pp.133-137.  Epub Sep 11, 2023. ISSN 2565-005X.  https://doi.org/10.24875/j.gamo.23000022.

A 12-year-old female who initially attended due to mechanical pain on her left knee, which was diagnosed with an aneurysmal bone cyst located on the proximal region of the left tibia. The definitive diagnosis by histopathology was the key to distinguish this lesion from other similar tumors. Despite the controversy regarding the management of these tumors, the present case had a satisfactory post-surgical clinical course. The early detection of these tumors is fundamental due to their potential aggressive evolution.
