Abstract
GONZALEZ-PRADO, Cristina et al. Bibliographic review of primary melanoma of the gallbladder: about a case. Gac. mex. oncol. [online]. 2023, vol.22, suppl.1, pp.47-50. Epub Sep 11, 2023. ISSN 2565-005X. https://doi.org/10.24875/j.gamo.22000100.
Malignant melanoma of the gallbladder is a rare entity. Diagnostic criteria have been accepted to identify this lesion. A 60-year-old woman is presented with a suspicious lesion in the gallbladder. An open cholecystectomy was performed. A melanocytic polyp was identified with junctional activity. Other melanocytic synchronic lesions were excluded. Diagnostic criteria are solitary polyp and arise from the mucosal surface; papillary or polypoid; either displaying junctional activity or excluding other possible primary sites such as skin and eyes.
