Abstract
DOMINGUEZ-ARROYO, Cynthia; SUAREZ-CRUZ, Griselda and ESQUIVEL-GOMEZ, J. Eloy. Perfusión intravenosa de lidocaína en el postoperatorio inmediato en colecistectomía laparoscópica. Anest. Méx. [online]. 2017, vol.29, n.2, pp.9-17. ISSN 2448-8771.
It has been known, for many years, that administration of low-dose intravenous lidocaine, produces analgesia and a reduction in the consumption of opioids or other anaesthetics used during the transanestesico, with minimal side effects. The objective of the study was to study the clinical behavior of intravenous lidocaine for postoperative pain control in the early hours of surgery.
Material and method
We designed a controlled, clinical trial, randomized, double-blind. 88 patients scheduled for cholecystectomy laparoscopic, under general anesthesia. Two groups, the group formed "L" consisting of forty four patients received lidocaine 1.5 mg/kg/h. Lidocaine infusion was started immediately after the tracheal intubation and was suspended when suturing the skin. The "B" group or control group, forty four patients, received an infusion of saline solution as a placebo. During the immediate postoperative period was a pain intensity assessed through the analog verbal scale (EVA) to the entry to the UCPA, 30, 60 and 90 minutes.
Results
The group "L" present lower rate of mild, moderate and severe pain, most of the moments of evaluation of pain, in relation to the control group.
Conclusion
The administration of an infusion of lidocaine during major surgical stimulation, decreases the intensity of pain in the immediate postoperative period.
