Abstract
CARRANZA-CORTES, José Luis. Control del daño en trauma de abdomen. Anest. Méx. [online]. 2016, vol.28, n.1, pp.34-39. ISSN 2448-8771.
Trauma injuries in the abdomen are events that sometimes complicate their perioperative management. The causes that trigger the torpid management are influenced by the transfer of the patient to the emergency room for interventions in, the intraoperative events and the therapeutic instituted in the intensive care unit to stabilize physiological functions affected. The triad of death is present and consists of; hypothermia, acidosis and coagulopathy. This is part of the component that identifies the damage control resuscitation. Therapeutic care aims to treat perioperative this pathological entity, which comprises three phases; I: abbreviated surgery and control bleeding; II stabilizing physiological parameters involved in the intensive care unit, and III: repair or decommissioning.
This review article aims to present the history that make damage control in abdominal trauma and the therapeutic approach of the three phases, as well as the monitoring of Phase II, where there is the possibility of readmission to the operating room, before correction of physiological variables, affecting organs and systems as a result of Abdominal Compartment Syndrome.
Keywords : damage control; abdominal trauma; abdominal compartment syndrome.
