The aim is to determine the influence of the adoption of information technologies from the perspective of human resources on the capacity of innovation in software MSMEs in Sonora. For the achievement of the objective, the technique of partial least squares was applied through the Smart PLS software. The results obtained allow us to deduce that the MSMEs that create knowledge and have trained human capital and adopt information technologies influences on innovation capacity, while innovative culture directly influences the innovation capacity on companies targeted. This research presents the limitation of only including the main municipalities of Sonora; however, it is intended to conduct future research in other geographical regions than the one studied and even at the national level in order to identify other factors that allow closing the knowledge gap.
