Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the development of Mexico’s international trade in concordance to their technological intensity to determine the relationship between the technological intensity change of exports (as an indicator of its quality), competitiveness and economic growth. The hypothesis about is that, in order to increasing the rate of economic growth, it requires a technological change into the structure of exports in products from little value added (like those primary goods, natural resource-based and low technology value) as those products with medium and high technology.
