TORRES, Ismael. “Chavitos narcomenudistas”: Touched by God and Untouchable by the Police. Estud. sociol [online]. 2019, vol.37, n.111, pp.581-609.  Epub Feb 20, 2020. ISSN 2448-6442.  https://doi.org/10.24201/es.2019v37n111.1710.

What are the implications of the irruption of the younger subject who joins drug dealing? Within the framework of the security strategy called "war against drug trafficking”, the emergence of "child dealers" has a notable impact on the reconfiguration of the social fabric. This becomes visible through a tense relationship in which a triad of actors unfolds: La Plaza -public security agents- young dealers and users of illicit substances. Particularly, this analysis looks at the possible juvenile subject that practices drug dealing and puts the emphasis on the processes of reconstruction of subjectivity, behavior modification, and loss of institutional legitimacy

Keywords : young people; drug dealing in a small-scale; illicit substances; organized crime.
