Abstract

This article analyzes the representation of personal and collective memory through two testimonial poems that affect the critical reflection on the Central American reality: Marabunta (2017) and Libro centroamericano de los muertos(2018) of the Mexican poet Balam Rodrigo, as possibilities for the recovery of a memory communicated as correlates on Central American migration in present time history. Poetry, testimonial experience and poetic construction go through the memorable discourses of a poetic mourning on the part of the author and as a contribution to the Mexican poetry of social theme in Mexico.
