The interest in doing this type of research was based on the concern that currently, the difficulties presented by the students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa are very outstanding, in addition to how contact with the written text arouses in students boredom, fear, indifference, and attitudes which some teachers try to avoid doing classroom activities focused on oral communication. The aim is to determine the type of reading strategies used in higher education, the strategies used by students in solving open questions, in order to provide the academic community with a design of methodological strategies in the different areas of knowledge, and to improve the academic quality of future professionals through language.
