The image of the Mexican heroes in the Brazilian poetry of the XIX century, develop the dialogue between the different literary expressions in America Latina. The categories “novelist mission” and “poet mission” explain a function of the literature in the formation of the diverse national projects made it in the new Latino American nations. For the artists the literature was a tool for delineate one project of national identity in the diverse regions of the continent and in the Brazilian case the poetry was a fundamental element for define at the new Latino American heroes. The comparative research between the diverse poetic expressions created in Brazil, in Peru and in México develop one dialogue with the methodological hermeneutical analyses produced for Gadamer in the text: “Poem and dialogue” and the reflections of Eduardo F. Coutinho. The two critics put in question the similitudes and the differences in the interpretation of the heroes who represented estate projects who has in a constant research of the independence and auto cognition.
