Abstract

This work takes some photographs that register the mothers of the victims of feminicide in Mexico, holding portraits of their missing or assassinated daughters, in order to offer an interpretation of these visual materials under a methodological perspective called aesthetic of the fragment. The aim of this analytical resource is to articulate an interpretation of these mothers´ grief not only within an individual relationship mother/daughter, but within a cultural matrix of collective memory and justice.
