Abstract

MERCEDES CASALI, Silvana. Search identity, find gender. Some annotations around Los topos. Rev. interdiscip. estud. género Col. Méx. [online]. 2018, vol.4, e271.  Epub Sep 03, 2018. ISSN 2395-9185.  https://doi.org/10.24201/eg.v4i0.271.

Written fiction can be the space where society molds the questions of its time. One of the concerns of Argentina in recent years has been the (re) construction of the memory of the seventies past, especially from the perspective of the generation born during state terrorism. A significant case of this is the novel Los topos, by Félix Bruzzone, which deals with the daily life of a child of disappeared parents and leads to the outbreak of family and gender norms. In this way, through a content analysis and taking into account the theoretical-conceptual contribution of Judith Butler in Undo the genre, we will rehearse bridges between both works, considering both the ways in which gender crosses the constitution of identity in Topos and the potential politics of a dimension that calls us to recognize other social intelligibilities and to imagine other possible worlds.

Keywords : fiction; genre; identity; Los topos.
