Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Yucatan Governor between 1922 and 1923 and labor and agrarian reformer, came into conflict with henequeneros who awaited the opportunity to deal a mortal blow, finally made on the occasion of the Delahuertista rebellion. We analyze the circumstances leading to the murder of Carrillo Puerto, his two brothers and collaborators in the cemetery of Mérida and its intellectual and material perpetrators. The case was never solved, but we point out elements that help to shed light on the issue.
