Abstract

A new record of a vascular plant classi ed as Utricularia purpurea Walter and belonging to the family Lentibulariaceae is reported in the State of Campeche. It grows in Silvituc lagoon, located in the southern part of the state in the municipalities of Escárcega and Calakmul. This report means that the state of Campeche now has the highest number of species belonging to this genus (6) in the Yucatan Peninsula.
