In this case, through the content analysis, the literary work of Gregorio Torres Quintero was explored, in order to know the representations that this author from western Mexico had about the riverside landscape of the city where he was born. Torres Quintero showed himself as an interlocutor of the people, speaking about the myths, conflicts and beliefs that the Colimans had. In this way, some aspects were identified, in which the river had relevance, ranging from appropriation, resource use, aesthetics, tropicalness, social interaction and hazards.
