Abstract

MENDOZA BERNAL, Elsa María Cristina. Proyecto Bará: reflexiones en torno a la abyección y el vínculo cuerpo/danza/teoría. Cultura representaciones soc [online]. 2009, vol.4, n.7, pp.118-150. ISSN 2007-8110.

The purpose of this text is to demonstrate the intimate relationship between theory and body in Mexican contemporary scenic dance. In order to do this, it takes as a research subject the group Proyecto Bará, whose choreography puts into practice, in a conscious way, this relationship. As a theoretical / analytical device for the approach to choreographers and the works of Proyecto Bará, Julia Kristeva's abjectness concept is used - in its sense of dislocation or ambiguity and from a more psychoanalytic than anthropologic perspective. By confronting the different authors, the ideas that give place to the analysis are embroidered in order to establish the originality of the group, which takes up the mystical and ethical tradition of the Talmud. These theoretical and methodological elements allowed the building up of this text.
