Abstract

GARDUZA ALEJANDRO, Monserrat Citlalli  and  TOLEDO GARCIA, Javier. Virtual education: learning a foreign language. Dilemas contemp. educ. política valores [online]. 2021, vol.9, n.spe1, 00030.  Epub Jan 31, 2022. ISSN 2007-7890.  https://doi.org/10.46377/dilemas.v9i.2936.

Virtual learning is a modality that since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a greater number of students, and of course, also teachers. This research is a quantitative study that describes how often foreign language students in the online mode find advantages and disadvantages in their educational process. A survey with a Likert-type frequency scale was designed to collect data from a group of students of various foreign languages who took their classes virtually, finding as a result that the advantages were greater than the disadvantages in language learning, but still, they prefer the face-to-face modality instead of virtual classes.

Keywords : Virtual learning; foreign languages; distance learning; teaching.
