In this work we present the structural and integral design of a Strategic Plan which we call “One step away from graduating”, and whose main objective is to develop, promote, manage and promote, in a coordinated manner with all the parties involved, the transversal competences for the employability and employability of the students of the Chemical Engineering career of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Veracruzana University in Orizaba, Veracruz. This strategic plan is aimed at students who are in the last third of their career and their initial stage is already underway. The results obtained so far are flattering, which indicates that in the future, it will be bearing the expected results.
