Violence against women represents both a human rights violation and a public health problem. Despite their social disapproval, they are unconventional behaviors of daily life: physical abuse, sexual abuse, or having an abusive family member in childhood or adolescence, and they are associated with a high risk of unwanted pregnancies, risk behaviors, drug use. drugs and development of violent behavior in adulthood. 33% reported having suffered some type of violence, and on the other hand, 35.4% perceived their family as dysfunctional. It is necessary to intervene within the educational establishment regarding these issues, articulating mechanisms and protocols for prevention, detection, and care for those who are affected.
