Abstract

SALAZAR-BOTELLO, Carlos Mauricio et al. Job satisfaction and burnout syndrome in the Covid-19 pandemic: the case of a financial institution in central Chile. Dilemas contemp. educ. política valores [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.spe4, 00019.  Epub Sep 20, 2021. ISSN 2007-7890.  https://doi.org/10.46377/dilemas.v8i.2770.

The prevalence of burnout syndrome and its relationship with the level of job satisfaction (SL) of employees of a financial institution (central Chilean zone) are analyzed in the context of Covid-19, in order to generate information that supports the management of managers in decision-making under similar conditions. The sample consisted of 52 employees (48 responded), with a permanent contract and a working seniority of more than 6 months. It is a quantitative, descriptive-correlational investigation. Likert-type scale questionnaires were applied, adding two open questions. The existence of an inverse relationship between SL and burnout syndrome was revealed, so favoring SL in times of pandemic could be a protective factor against stress.

Keywords : organizational governance; people management; COVID-19; Burnout; job satisfaction.
