Abstract

VACA ALTAMIRANO, Gabriela; MENA SILVA, Paola  and  ARMIJOS BRIONES, Marcelo. Bulk fill resin as an innovative material. Bibliographic review. Resinous restorative materials have been used for decades in adhesive dentistry; however, nowadays the options available in the market are increasingly wider in relation to their mechanical, functional and esthetic properties. It is important to consider that conventional composites do not allow the use of excessive increments in a cavity preparation. In view of this limitation, Bulk Fill resins have emerged, which can be placed in single blocks with larger increments and excellent clinical characteristics and properties. As demonstrated by the documentary analysis carried out in this work, which shows the efficacy in the use of Bulk Fill resins, applied in relation to the cavity characteristics and needs of the patient.

Keywords : Resins; restorations; mechanical properties; Bulk Fill.
