This work includes the study of the effective cooperation of the defendant in Ecuadorian Criminal Law with the development and advancement of new investigation techniques that it is essential to adapt to the criminal system; new investigative methods and techniques in order to optimize information and investigation during the development of the criminal process, and in this way, effectively exercise the prosecutorial power of the State in relevant crimes that affect the victim and society. In the present case, the problematic matter includes the lack of efficiency, on the part of the prosecutors, in seeking elements of conviction in certain crimes, it being essential that this legal figure be considered as a legal mechanism to obtain a positive result in the investigation.
