The current work context is everchanging and full of challenges, in which up to six different generations coexist, where age affects the dimensions of the business space in tasks, in human relationships, and personal coping in response to work and the leadership that is exercised. Little is known about the experiences, values, skills, concerns, and motivations that affect the vital and professional essence, that can generate conflicts in the workplace. The present study validated a scale aimed at examining intergenerational conflict within organizations and is based on previous research by Urick et al. (2017), which established factors associated with conflict between generations. Sample descriptive statistics were calculated and Cronbach’s alpha and Pearson’s correlations between variables were tested to validate the questionnaire. An exploratory factor analysis was performed using SPSS software. A first order confirmatory factor analysis was performed with the AMOS software and the Dillon-Goldstein Rho (or composite reliability) was calculated to verify internal consistency of the indicators for each latent variable. The sample was comprised of workers from the State of Mexico and Mexico City, Hidalgo, Nuevo León, and Guanajuato among others. The results suggest that all acceptance criteria have been met, the Rho de Dillon Goldstein is acceptable, the first factor (Opening of the generation gap) is 0.85 and the second factor (Limitations for intergenerational work) is 0.78 so the model obtained the required validation quality.
