Abstract

This article addresses the importance of the Human Rights Ombudsman and its implications in the university environment. The objective was to explore the level of information and knowledge about human rights in a group of students from the University of Sonora, Mexico. Four groups were from Ethics and Professional Development, one from the Tax Law Seminar, and another from Administrative Law, in which issues related to human rights were addressed within their subject programs and the impact it represents on Higher education. Among the findings, it was found that the students had extensive knowledge of university human rights documents and agreements.
