Abstract

NAVA ESPINOSA, Roberto. Medical visit in medical education: Reflection from the Activity Theory. Investigación educ. médica [online]. 2019, vol.8, n.30, pp.119-129.  Epub Feb 20, 2020. ISSN 2007-5057.  https://doi.org/10.22201/facmed.20075057e.2019.30.18163.

The visit pass is an activity that combines teaching and care processes around the care of hospitalized patients. It represents the ideal time for the learning of the clinical method, since there is an interaction between expert doctors and novices in medicine. However, despite being an everyday act, it does not usually have a homogeneous dynamic, since each doctor develops to its free choise. Neither the processes that are developed there are usually carried out in the best way. A look from the perspective of the Activity Theory can help to understand what is generated there, in order to perpetuate and improve one of the moments of greatest learning for the doctor in training.
