Abstract

SANCHEZ GAYOSSO, Ramiro Daniel. Local executives and congresses in the federative entities in Mexico: asymmetric or balanced power relations?. Intersticios sociales [online]. 2020, n.20, pp.347-376.  Epub Nov 20, 2020. ISSN 2007-4964.

The present work addresses the powers granted by local constitutions to the executive and legislative branches in the states in Mexico. Specifically, the legislative prerogatives (creation of laws) and appointment are analyzed. The objective is to know if the faculties that concentrate both organs allow them to have relations with balance or, if on the contrary, they favor the dominion of some of these powers in the mentioned subjects. Once each of its instruments is identified, it is possible to recognize, from the legal dimension, its influence both in the legislative process and in the appointments of its cabinet, the judges of the judicial power, the attorneys and the holders of some autonomous organs.

Keywords : governors; local congresses; legislative faculties; faculties of appointment.
