Abstract

OCAMPO MUNOA, Manuel Gustavo. An approach to an intercultural therapeutic jurisprudence in Chiapas. Intersticios sociales [online]. 2019, n.18, pp.105-126. ISSN 2007-4964.

This document presents an approach to the programs of Therapeutic Jurisprudence that have been put into practice in the state of Chiapas as part of the national health system’s public policies and others related to the 2008 constitutional reforms of the criminal justice and public security systems. The objective is to demonstrate that the cultural diversity which exists in Chiapas -recognized in Article 7 of its local Political Constitution, which grants protection to twelve indigenous peoples living within its territory- must be addressed by incorporating interculturality as a philosophy and legal approach that promotes respect for differences and dialogue as tools for bringing together different cultures with the goal of generating good practices in conflict resolution in the field of penal justice.

Keywords : Therapeutic Jurisprudence; interculturality; cultural diversity.
