Abstract

NINO MARTINEZ, José Javier; OSORIO BALLESTEROS, Abraham  and  GONZALEZ ORTIZ, Felipe. Crime prevention among adolescents in the State of Mexico: the concept of risk and the preceptor system. Intersticios sociales [online]. 2018, n.16, pp.255-290. ISSN 2007-4964.

Crime prevention policies directed at young people are an important instrument for reducing crime rates in Mexico, which explains why the government has implemented projects designed to attend to adolescents who manifest antisocial behaviors. It is important to analyze how such projects function and, above all, to study the roots of modern concepts of risk in the normalization process of reaching adulthood. Likewise, it is urgent to reach an adequate understanding of the dimensions of the construction of social vulnerability and rights among minors.

Keywords : Adolescents; risk; antisocial behavior; crime prevention.
