Abstract

CASTILLO QUINONEZ, Leticia. Interactividad y audiencias en los periódicos digitales: Estudio de tres medios mexicanos. Intersticios sociales [online]. 2014, n.8, pp.1-25. ISSN 2007-4964.

In the new technological circumstances of communication, interactivity represents a participatory potential. So that the classical questions what do the media to audiences? And what audiences do with the media (with their messages)?, add a new question: what do the audiences in the media? This is a first reflection of the progress of a digital journalism and interactivity study, carried out at three online newspapers of Mexico: El Diario.mx, El Universal.mx y Sinembargo.mx. Based on a mediated observation by computer, it is checked out how the participations of audiences are. It identifies an elementary predominant use of open spaces for users; it also emphasizes the practice of commenting on the newsworthy informations, and uses combination of digital newspapers and social networking platforms on the Internet. The implementation of interactivity and participation in online journalism notions is reviewed. Likewise, it is proposed a participatory active audiences mode on these media. We propose know how these audiences are constituted through the analysis of their stakes in online newspapers: in which issues involved with what tones, which give meaning to these practices and what positions expressed on the media agenda; i mean, what makes audiences on digital newspapers.

Keywords : Active audiences; participatory audience; interactivity; participation; Mexico.
